Saucony Elite 50 Individual Boys | Week 5

*Editor's Note: The Saucony Elite 50 refers to the top-50 individual in the country (25 boys and 25 girls)

New York, New York!! Manhattan was just as exciting on the boys side as three elite harriers battled to the finish.  US #14 Tony Russell (West Chester Henderson PA), who was first at NXN Northeast last year, won with strong finish in a time of 12:20, good for #13 all-time on the storied course.  #16 Bryce Millar (Fayetteville-Manlius NY) gave him a run for his money and finished 2nd in 12:21.1 while #18 Mickey Burke (Rush-Henrietta NY) finished 3rd in 12:23.8.

US#1 Blake Haney (Stockdale CA) continues to take on all-comers, this time over-coming super-soph Austin Tamagno (Brea Olinda CA), who set a soph league record, 15:01 to 15:07 at the Clovis Invitational in California.

At the Richland Invitational US#2 Joe Hardy (Seattle Prep WA) won over a DEEP field in 14:47.66 with US#10 John Dressel (Mt. Spokane WA) 2nd in 14:49.59.  US#13 Kai Wilmot (North Central WA) was 3rd in 14:51.65 with teammate Tanner Anderson 4th in 14:54.27.

Sukhi Khosla makes his debut at #25 in the rankings with a 14:59 win at the FSU Invitational where Andres Arroyo ran 15:19.8 last year!  Sukhi won very controlled and it was a deep race too, with the top-6 under 15:08.5!

Note: We will have a watch list on the rankings continuing through the season, as 25 is a very hard number to crack into.

Stay tuned each week as we bring you the Saucony Elite 50 Individual Boys every Tuesday morning!
