Utah Region 4 Championships, UT

Highlights

  • Lucy Biles (Herriman) pulled away early and was never challenged as she won with a time of 16:53.  The American Fork girls won with a score of 43 over Lone Peak with 61.  
  • In the boys race it was certainly no suprise as American Fork won with 30 points.  Westlake ran big for 2nd with 73 points as Lone Peak was 3rd with 79 points.  Connor McMillan led the Cavemen with a dominating win in 14:32.  

 

Utah Region 1 Championships, UT

Coverage

Highlights

  • Davis girls dominated the race with 23 points to take the win.  Aubrey Argyle took the individual win for Davis with a time of 17:56.  
  • The Davis boys team also won with 23 points and Skylar Williams took the individual win in 15:43.  

 

Southwestern Conference Championships, IL

Highlights

  • Patrick Perrier crushed everyone, winnin in 14:45, but his O'Fallon teammates only won narrowly over Edwardsville 27 to 29.  

 

NVAC XC Championships, VT

Coverage

Highlights

  • Autumn Eastman (Champlain Valley) won the girls large schools title with a course record clocking of 17:47.6, nearly a minute up on 2nd place.  Champlain Valley won the team title as well with 36 points.  

 

Nathan Hale Home Meet, WA

Coverage

Highlights

  • Joe Hardy (Seattle Prep) dominated, as has become his custom lately, winning with a time of 15:19.62.  Nathan Hale used a 27 second spread to defeat Seattle Prep by a score of 26 to 41.  

 

MileStat.com XC Invitational, VA

Coverage

Highlights

  • In the boys Varsity race Louis Colson (Thomas Edison) won with a time of 15:21 for the individual title, but James W Robinson dominated the team action with 125 points off of a mere 13 second spread!  
  • Blacksburg girls handled the battle from Lake Braddock to win with 76 points to 90 with a 35 second team spread.  Lake Braddock went 1-2 with Hannah Christen winning in 18:08 and Katy Kunc 2nd in 18:18.

 

Bob McIntyre Twilight XC Invite, MA

Coverage

Highlights

  • Abbie McNulty (Bishop Feehan) won the girls D1 varsity race with a quick 17:08.70 clocking, winning by over a minute.  
  • Paul Hogan (Burlington) won the boys race in 15:11.26 over Owen Gonser (King Phillip) in 15:11.71.

 

Ches-Mont Championships, PA

Coverage

Highlights

  • West Chester Henderson boys ran a relaxed race to take the win in the boys National division with a score of 28 points over West Chester East, 70 points.  Chris Cummings (West Chester East) won overall with a time of 16:03.  
  • Unionville girls ran a tempo effort and won the American division with 15 points.  Courtney Smith led with an 18:00 clocking to win by 73 seconds.  

 

Lexington Catholic Invitational, KY

Coverage

Highlights

  • St. Xavier (KY) dominated the boys large schools race with 40 points, going 2-5 and then packing in 6 runners between 10th and 15th place.  Patrick Gregory (Butler) won overall with a time of 15:52.68.
  • Whitney O'Bryan (Daviess County) won the girls large schools race in 18:20.28.

 

Borgia Invitational, MO

Highlights

  • Taylor Werner (Ste. Genevieve) ran away with the girls race, winning with a time of 17:39.10.

 

Capital City 7 on 7, MT

Highlights

  • Makena Morley (Bigfork) won the girls varsity race with a quick 17:00.60 clocking to win by 26 seconds.  
  • Jason Holmes (Boweman) won the boys race with a quick 15:09.28 clocking.

 

OAA Red Championship, MI

Highlights

Audrey Belf (Seaholm) won the girls varsity race with a time of 17:23.80 and the Seaholm girls dominated with 26 points for the team win.  

 

OK Red Jamboree #3, MI

Highlights

 

  • Lauren Brasure (Rockford) won on the girls side with a time of 17:39.20.  Rockford won a very close race over Hudsonville by a score of 34 to 39.

Highlights

  • Marco Pompilj (Collegiate School) won the boys Championship race with a quick 15:13.4 clocking.  Edwin Rutto (St. Benedict's NJ) settled down his racing tactics from Manhattan and finished 2nd with a time of 15:17.4.  
  • Denise Branch (Benjamin Cardozo NY) won the girls Championship race with a swift 17:52.2, but she earned it with a kick over Tiana Guevera (Miller Place) who was 2nd in 17:53.8.  Northport won a close one over Miller Place 69 to 75.

 

MCC XC Meet, WA

Highlights

  • Kamiakin dominated with 2-7 placings to win with 20 points.  Richland's Michael Williams took top honors in 14:48.20.  

 

Third Battle Invitational, VA

Highlights

  • Caroline Alcorta (West Springfield) won the girls varsity race with ease in a new course record time of 17:10.40, over 90 seconds over the field.  West Springfield won the team title with 52 points.  

 

Philadelphia Catholic League Champs, PA

Coverage

Highlights

  • Cardinal O'Hara boys dominated with a mere 16 points as they went 1-2-3-4-6 overall.  Kevin James won the individual title with a time of 15:45.26.  
  • On the girls side Cardinal O'Hara and Archbishop Wood tied at 30 points with O'Hara winnng the 6th runner tiebreak.  

 

North Carolina Conference Championships, NC

CISAA Conference Coverage

CISAA Conference Highlights

  • Ben Huffman led the charge with a 15:21 win as Providence Day ran away with the team title with 21 points.  
  • Emma Brown (Providence Day) won on the girls side in 18:32.

Southwestern Wake Athletic Conference Highlights

  • The Green Hope girls looked really good, placing 2-7 to win the team title with 20 points.  The girls had a 26 second spread and an average of 18:46.56.

CAP-8 Conference Championship Highlights

  • The Broughton boys dominated as expected, winning with 20 points and a 47 second spread off of sweeping the top-4 places overall.  

North Piedmont Conference Championship Highlights

  • Patrick Sheehan won the individual boys race with a time of 15:38 but his Lake Norman team had to settle for 2nd behind North Lincoln 26 to 39.

TISAC Conference Coverage

TISAC Conference Highlights

  • Eliza Decker (Durham Academy) won the girls race in 18:20.  Ravenscroft won the girls team title without Ryen Frazier with 29 points.

 

Colorado Regional Championships, CO

4A Region 3 Highlights

  • Elise Cranny (Niwot) won her race to move on to states with a blazing 16:48 to win by over 2 minutes.

Cerake cruised on to state by winning his regional with ease.

5A Region 1 Coverage

5A Region 1 Highlights

  • Cerake Geberkidane (Denver East) won the boys race with ease, cruising to a 15:10 clocking.

Lauren (542) is off to states as a frosh with her regional win!   

5A Region 4 Coverage

Lauren Gregory (Fort Collins) won the girls race with ease in a time of 18:30.20.  Fort Collins won the team title with a point total of 31.

Jordyn won her region meet with ease this week.

5A Region 2 Coverage

5A Region 2 Highlights

  • Jordyn Colter (Cherry Creek) won the girls championship going away with a quick 17:57 clocking, winnin by 43 seconds.  Cherry Creek dominated the team competition, winning with 22 points.  

4A Region 2 Coverage

4A Region 2 Highlights

  • Katie Rainsberger (Air Academy) cruised away from the competition for a winning time of 17:39.  Her team won the title as well with a score of 42 points.
  • Air Academy also won the boys title with a score of 31 points.

 

FCIAC Championships, CT

Coverage

Highlights

  • Hannah DeBalsi (Staples) demolished the course record with a huge win over the 4k layout with a time of 13:29.  Claire Howlett (Westhill) finished 2nd with a time of 13:41, also under the old record of 14:03 by Meg Ryan (Warde) in 2009.
  • In  the boys race Trevor Hopper (Ridgefield) and Alex Ostberg (Darien) also went under a course record with Hopper winning 15:15 to 15:18.  The old record was 15:23 by Henry Wynne (Staples) in 2012.  
     

 

Century League Preview Cluster, CA

Coverage

Highlights

  • In the heart of Orange County, California, separated by less than 15 miles, 3 of the nation's fastest high school distance runners will battle not just to win races but to claim the best in the Century League.  Seniors Garrett Corcoran of Villa Park High School (4:10.95 - 1600m), Sydney Gidabuday of El Modena (4:12.43) and Sophomore Austin Tamagno of Brea (4:09.43) will race a minimum of four times this fall.  The first of their meetings came on September 21st at the Woodbridge Invitational with Garrett Corcoran claiming 3rd overall covering the flat and fast 3 mile course in 14:07.  Gidabuday and Tamagno followed shortly behind in 14:10 and finished 4th and 6th.  Eleven days later the three met again in the Century League Preview Cluster.  This time around Gidabuday took top honors in 14:20 with Tamagno in 14:21 and Corcoran finishing in third at 14:29.
