Golden South Classic

  • Teahna Daniels punched her ticket for NYC, winning the 100m in a time of 11.38 (wind-legal, US#2)
  • Terry Jernigan ran a US#1 10.27 to claim his golden ticket. 
  • Danielle Jones (AZ) won a close mile racing, running 4:50.49 to edge out Lucy Biles (4:50.54) to claim her spot in the Dream Mile.  

Wyoming

  • Ricky Faure recorded a new US#1/#10 All-Time 800m, clocking in at 1:48.14.  Read more about his performance here.  Faure also won the1600m in a time of 4:14.20, a state meet record.

Pennsylvania

  • Courtney McCartney (Sellsgrove) put a US#6 mark of 49-0.25
  • Max Adams (Hempfield) threw a US#6 mark in the discus of 198-3.
  • Maddie Holmberg (Hempfield) went against the wind to jump a US#7 mark of 20-1 to win by nearly two feet. Holmberg also clocked a quick 42.73 in the 300H. 
  • Ross Wilson broke a 31 year old meet record, running 8:56.29 to win the AAA Boys 3200.  He led a group of three under the 9:00 barrier. 
  • Central Bucks South ran an All-Time PA State Record, 8:51.49 in the 4x800m.   This puts them at US#2.
  • State College clocked a quick 7:41.99 in the 4x800m, currently US#2.
  • Markeeta Thomas ran a meet record 14.13 in the 100H. 
  • Both girls 1600m races were quick with Kennedy Weisner running 4:45.99 to win the AA race and Brianna Schwartz running 4:46.95 to win the AAA race.

Iowa

  • Stephanie Jenks took down Katie Flood's previous State Record, running 9:24.67 for US#2 3K which puts her just behind Alexa Efraimson.  She came back to win the 1500 in 4:31.10 and place second in the 800 with a 2:10.20
  • Thomas Pollard, a junior from Gilbert, topped a 29 year old state record, running 8:50 to win the 3200m.  This time puts him at US#2 as well.
  • Both the boys and girls recorded new US#1s in the SMR.  The Pleasant Valley girls ran a new Iowa Record, dipping under four with a 3:57.59 clocking.  The boys from Linn-Mar finished in 3:24.39
  • Josh Evans ran an amazing 4:06.32/1:50.98 1600/800 double US #3 in the 1600 and US #4 in the 800
  • Kaley Ciluffo won the Girls 800 with a US#9 time of 2:08.56

Oregon

  • Matthew Maton ran a relaxed 8:29 to win the 5A 3K.  He just missed his class record which he set a year ago.
  • Sophomore Harrison Schrage jumped 24-1.5, the third best among sophomores.

Nevada

  • Tiana Bonds swept the hurdles ran a US #6 (#4 wind legal) 13.50 in the 100 hurdles winning and 41.47 in the 300 hurdles.  Her 41.29 at Mt. Sac has third in the nation.
  • Vashti Cunningham jumped 6-1 to win the Girls High Jump.  Her 6-3 from earlier this spring leads the nation.
  • Ashlie Blake cracked the 50 foot barrier in the Shot with a mark of 50-1.25.  She currently is ranked 4th with a 51-7.25 from earlier this spring.
  • Reno Tuufuli had an impressive sweep of the throws with a US#11 63-6.75 Shot and 179-4 in the Discus.  His 196-10 has him ranked seventh in the nation right now
  • Corey Reid won a tight battle in the Boys 400 47.15 to 47.17 over Sebestian Feyersinger ranking them both in the top 20 nationally.

Tennessee

  • Aaron Templeton led wire-to-wire to dip under 9:00 and win the 3200m.
  • Adam Barnard, a junior from Daniel Boone, had the fastest 1600m time, running 4:10.61. 
  • Maia McCoy ran a  wind-legal 11.63/23.94 double to pick up two wins.  She also ran a leg on the victorious Whitehaven 4x200m and 4x400m Relays. 
  • Harrison Williams won the decathlon with 7114 points.  He also won four open events -  Pole Vault (16-0) and High Jump (6-8) as well as the hurdles (13.79w/36.40 - US#3)

  • Shania Collins won the Girls 100 and 200 with wind-aided times of 11.88 and 24.33
  • Michael Fracis jumped 23-8 (wind-aided) to win the Boys Long Jump
  • Bowie cracked the US top 30 with a 1:26.57

  • Lincoln Way East ran a state record 46.04 in the 4x100m - US#6
  • The 3A Girls 400m was a barn burner.  Parker English, who ran a US#6 53.60 in prelims, won it in 53.88.  Briyahana DesRoisers ran a US#8 53.92 to place second. 
  • Kelsey Hildreth won the smallest division 3200m in the best time of the day, 10:19.61 which puts here at US#16

2A Prelims - Lena Giger put the shot 45-4.25 to begin her weekend. 

3A Prelims - Emma Spagnola (West Aurora) took the fastest times in both the hurdle races, runinng 13.90 and 42.95.  Alex Martel ran the fastest 800m prelim, running 2:11.93.
