Welcome to a New Video Age for MileSplit - Meet Jimmy Stevenson

Starting this week, the full-time national coverage team for MileSplit has received a major boost with the addition of Jimmy Stevenson as an associate producer of MileSplit US. Since the indoor season, MileSplit US has been run by national editor Brandon Miles (with the help of our state webmasters and contributors on the ground at meets all over the country) focusing on producing quality content, timely updates and comprehensive coverage of the top high school national meets and athletes for the entire nation. Jimmy will help carry that load of growing the national coverage on MileSplit as a new on-camera face and personality for the website to add more to a growing dimension of MileSplit US in producing as well as creating quality and compelling original video content.

Jimmy comes to MileSplit with great experience as a previous intern and contributor for Flotrack since the start of 2012. A Pennsylvania native and recent graduate as well as runner from Elon University in North Carolina majoring in broadcast journalism, Stevenson ran at LaSalle College High School as a distance runner and had solid high school PR's of a sub 9 minute 3K and 16:01 5K. Not far removed from his high school days as a class of 2010 graduate, Stevenson is excited to generate relatable video content which connects with today's high school track athletes. "I am overjoyed to start working with MileSplit.  A site that I started following as an early high school student, I now have the privilege to pour in my talents and efforts to help take MileSplit to the next level and give back to the site that provided so much for me as a young and passionate student of the sport," says Stevenson.

With the addition of Stevenson to the full-time MileSplit national coverage team, expect the site to take it up a notch in terms of video content and production over the coming years. The user experience will become even more visually enhanced and entertaining with weekly highlight shows and video previews of top meets as well as adding more premium video features of top athletes, programs, events, and stories of the sport similarly found on other Flocasts sites such as Flotrack, Flowrestling, and Gymnastike.

"I am looking forward to bringing a lot of juicy, power packed video content to MileSplit US with our weekly shows among many other video features.  MileSplit will be providing more video content than ever and I am thrilled to be a producer of that colorful and exciting content that will engage our passionate audience even more." As his initiation of his new position at MileSplit, Jimmy will keep himself busy this fall traveling to many of the top featured high school cross country meets in the United States providing on-site coverage for MileSplit US along with Miles.

Welcome Jimmy as our newest producer to MileSplit US as we embark on this new era of coverage and video content!
