Central Catholic (OR)
It is fitting that one of the founders of NXN in John Truax now has a son racing with his team in an event that was his father's creation with Sam Truax as the top returning runner for the Oregon state champions from Central Catholic. Traux and the Central Catholic boys made it to NXN last year as an at-large with a 19th place finish, but this year want to come back as an auto qualifier and potential Northwest Region champ and vie for the best finish in the program's finish by breaking into the top 10 at Portland Meadows. Central Catholic was humming along the track this past running some great times as a group in the 1500 (5 guys from 3:58 to 4:10) and 3K (4 guys at 8:50 or faster) to hopefully help them making a bigger dent up front against national class fields with their already well packed unit.
