Tuesday Is A Good Day As Any To Set National Record: Kamryn McIntosh 1:28.78 600!

Kamryn McIntosh, a sophomore at Suffern High School in New York, broke the US high school girls 600 meter national record on Tuesday at the Section 1 Class AA Meet with a sensational performance of 1:28.78. McIntosh had a big drop from her previous PR of 1:34.06, but had shown with her range and times in other events of her great potential including a 2:49 1000 a few weeks ago at the Armory Track Invite and clocking a 54 second 400 last spring as a freshmen.

The previous national record was 10 years old set by Janine Davis from Queen of Peace (NJ) back in 2015 with a 1:29.27 performance. McIntosh's splits to set her up for the national record were 27.18 for 200 meters and 56.53 for last 400 meters.
