I think that Samantha George from Raleigh, NC deserves to be ranked, or at a minimum on your watch list. She won the NCHSAA 4A championship with a time of 17:27, defeating runner-up Darby Middlebrook (who is on your watch list) by over 15 seconds. She has also run faster times this year on the same courses as another NC runner on your watch list (Eliza Decker). By the way, Wesley Frazier was not idle last weekend, running in the Three Strip Red Shirt Invitational at Wake Med Soccer Park (same course as Great American) finishing 4th with a time of 18:12 (she had run around 17:40ish there earlier this year). It is possible that she was "training through" this race, but I have never known her not to try to win every race she has ever entered!

Marcel is correct, Sean McGorty lost to Ahmed Bile

Maggie Drazba from St.Marys West Virginia is a big over site. At least she should be on the watch list. Maggie won the WV State Championship in record breaking time (18:25) on a slow course. The junior now has 5 WV State titles. To think of all the All-American girls to come through WV and Maggie Drazba is the best of all time is staggering. Maggie is running Footlocker South. So, we will see if she deserves to be on the watch list or higher.

It's hard to imagine a girl losing her state meet in a small state like Delaware and still being #1. Molly Seidel has lost one cross-country meet in 4 years and she was injured for that one.
  • DougMcDaniel / 2 Years Ago
Samantha Nightingale from Mo just blistered Drazba's new record by 53 seconds!!! at the Coaches National Youth Championships. Nightingale is legit!!!!!! That is crazy fast on a tough WV course!!!
