LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Bellarmine University men's cross country runner
Jordan Parayil is in the field for Saturday's NCAA Division II National Championiship, which will be held at the Plante's Ferry Sports Complex in Spokane, Wash. The 10,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. (EST).
Parayil qualified for the race by finishing 10th at the Midwest Regional two weeks ago in Big Rapids, Mich. This marks the second year in row Parayil has run in the national championship. Last year, he finished 100th in the national field as the Bellarmine team finished 23rd in the team event.
This fall, Parayil has consistently led the Knights and has picked up All-Conference and All-Region honors along the way. He also earned the Great Lakes Valley Conference "Runner of the Week" two times this season.
