SPOKANE, Wash. – The Lock Haven University women's cross country team finished 20th overall as the Lady Eagles made their first ever appearance at the NCAA Division II National Championship meet.

Laura Histand (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was Lock Haven's top finisher. She was 86th overall and covered the snowy 6K course in 23:23.9.

Lindsey Lambert (Howell, N.J./Howell) was 101st overall with a time of 23:43.9.

Rachel Taylor (Townsend, Del./Smyrna) and Katie Sick (Millville, Pa./Millville) rounded out the top-four finishers for the Lady Eagles.

LHU head coach Aaron Russell couldn't be happier with the performance of his Lady Eagles.

Russell was also ecstatic with the effort of Histand.

“I'm really proud of the women,” said Russell. “Histand stepped up and ran the best race of her life today.”

Russell noted that is will be a great building block for The Haven women.
