Lukas Verzbicas, one of the most decorated high school distance runners of all time, was severely injured in a bicycle accident while riding outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado. According to triathlete.com his mother Rasa said, "he is in intensive care with a broken collar bone, blood in his lungs, and will need surgery in his back.
