Updating My Athlete Profile
Help > Frequently Asked Questions > Updating My Athlete Profile
How do I claim my (or my son/daughter's) athlete profile?
- Go to the athlete profile page. You can get there a number of ways... from the team page roster, the rankings, or anywhere else you see the athlete's name as a link. Or simply use the search tool at the top of every page to find the athlete by name.
- Once on the athlete's page, click the button that says "Claim This Athlete".
- Follow the steps from there, which should be straight-forward.
- You must then be approved by either your team's administrator (if there is one) or by the webmaster. You will receive an email notification once you are approved/denied. It usually takes just a few hours.
How do I update my athlete profile photo and information?
Once you have claimed yourself or your child and been approved (see above), go to your athlete profile. You will see a button/image to the right of your name that says "Edit Athlete Profile", click that. You'll then be able to update some of the information on your page and upload a photo.
My new photo is not showing... Why?
If you uploaded the photo correctly, but you are still seeing the old one then your browser has probably cached a copy of the old one. If you click the refresh button on your browser (or the F5 key on your keyboard) it should reload the page and get the new photo.
How do I update my stats?
We take pride in the integrity of our statistics. For this reason our system is not open to letting people just type in their times/marks. Approved coaches and team admins are able to fill in some results for their athletes. These coach-entered performances show in the athlete profile, team records, personal bests, and other places with the "unverified" flag. These unverified times do not show in the rankings, however. Only the webmaster of the site can enter official (verified) times/marks into the system that show in the rankings. Parents and athletes are not able to enter their own times.
To be official entered, meet results must be sent in in their proper format to the webmaster in the respective state. "My kid ran 16:01" emails do not count, we need official results. If these are not available, have your coach or team admin enter the time so that it will show in your athlete profile... it just won't be in the rankings. No exceptions.
