The Spotsy boy was still in my sights at like 2 seconds ahead of me. I'm still having bad thoughts until I hear another coach yell to a boy, 5 seconds ahead of me, that he was on pace for sub 10:30. Well this changed my whole mind around I started to think about splits when all of a sudden at the 800 mark I noticed I was in closing distance on the spotsy guy, so I went for it. I started stalking him that lap as we both picked it up as he heard me behind him. then we hit the 400 left mark and we both picked up. Quotes of Pre suddenly filled my head and I picked it up and passed him woth 270 to go. I then knew that my top speed in the sprint was no match for his so i went all out with 230 left to go just hoping that it would hold his all out at bay. It did and I barely won by .4 seconds and a pr of 10:30 in the 2 mile. Spotsy boy pr'd as well and we congratulated each other. overall a good day. now I'm debating to run 4 miles tomorrow slowly and go for the 7 day a week run. rtpxcleader
